    Fake Black wound badge?

At the time i thought this was a good one, (didnt think black wound badges were commonly faked).

the problems i see are for one, the hinge wont even work properly(wont go under catch). And to me it looks like their is too much detail in the wreath.

Well i'm starting to think i got burned, a little burn but nonetheless

    Thanks,
    Kiezer

Not trying to be a wiseguy here but can you lift up the catch ? I cannot tell from the photos, but it is not uncommon for the catch to be pushed down so the pin arm cannot go under. You can carefully lift it up a little...stress carefully

Otherwise from the photos it is hard to tell, but the badge seems to be okay. More crisp photos would help.

    Cheers,

    Glen

The catch is in the correct position the actual needle (dont know what to call it) wont position under the catch.

Well actually... maybe the catch should be moved to the right more, then it might sit correctly. but it is very difficult to move the catch, any suggestion?

Sorry about poor pics i had to use my scanner because my camera sucks even more.

      Thanks.

        Hi

There is no problem with this badge
Looks like a badge made by "81" Overhoff & Cie

        Cheers,
        Ronny

I agree a good 81 ... and perhaps marked on the needle.
            Best regards, Andreas

Kiezer, you have a nice looking badge. I have a number of badges that the needle does not seem to line up correctly on. It is not uncommon.
