I am not so shure about the finish on that one to be honest. Looks like thick layers of gold paint on a silver WB to me, seems so thick that it weakens the details on the wreath to me.

I haven´t to this day seen a genuine GWB that has a painted pin either.

Don´t throw away your fake WB´s! Get in touch with me.
I collect them for reference purposes for the benefit of the hobby (for the right "fake" price of course).

              Hi Josef,

I don't have problems with your WB and the finish, looks ok to me the repaints issues has the more desert yellow appearance.

Also the pins at the late stage of wars can be found in variety, i have seen silver grades with 'gold' pin or other magnetic or non magnetic painted in the appropriate color...ie Wernstein used this in zink not cast hinge and catch issue.

              So from me...

Maybe i wasn´t clear enough, i´ve never seen a zinc 30 GWB with a silver pin before... and i still don´t like the finish on this one.

I think it looks convincing for a late war piece
