It is a black wound badge. I think, this is really from zinc. Rare!

With the only photo posted one WB has come to my mind zinkblech type from unknown maker with posibility to S&L firma with a realy mix of magnetic and no magnetic hardware... I'll post one for your reference

But isn’t this hollow type with its solid brothers considered
to be fakes?

I have one of these black types myself and I am not too comfortable with it
I can peel the paint of with my finger nail

Hi comrade Ronny,

I have and my self doubts at first place also is very lightweight only 8.8 gr but now i'm more on the right side, the set up has been found in other genuine awards like GAB etc and the paint is not easily take off at least on mine...also has passed and the bent test... To be honest i still have a minor but exist though a bad feeling...
