    Worn GWB?

    Found two more wound badges hiding in with other stuff and was wondering if this badge was a very worn gold one marked 30.

        Based on some gilt left on the pin and obverse, I'd say you'd be fairly accurate in assuming this "was" a gold badge at one point.

              You can still see that there is a small bit of gilt left. It looks like a Gold.

                Agreed...especially those 30s are notorious for that. I posted the same badge almost the same condition, on the 26 badge thread posted earlier today...except hook was broken, and pin was bent. One must examine those 30's closely, as i thought mine was silver till i looked it over on the pin, and edge . http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/FORU...d.php?t=423406
