      Hi Ace,

it looks like a GWB made by Hauptmünzamt, Wien. There should be a makermark 30 under the tapered needle but i shure would love to see better pics to be shure since there are good fakes around.
      Regards
      Hans N

Don´t throw away your fake WB´s! Get in touch with me.
I collect them for reference purposes for the benefit of the hobby (for the right "fake" price of course).

I know there is 3 needle variants of the GWB from maker 30.But this one does not look like the 30 marked widepin i got(and much less the "normal" pin variants i got):

Catch is located different position and pin looks like it is sharpened.

I have seen the 3rd variant, which had this kind of needle on Ace´s picture but it had different hinge.

We could do with some clearer pics of the GWB; (a) without the flash effect and (b) cut out the background cloth and focus on the WB itself i.e there is more background than WB in the pics.

It does appear like the tapered pin setup of early 30's vs the uniform wide pin.

              Better pics are essential.

Thanks for all your help - Dennis it is 100% the same pin as in your PIC.
