I wouldn't actually consider it a true tinnie, since it is a forerunner of plastic, nonetheless, it is still something to throw on the pile to appease your anxious frustrations till you scrape up more cash.
Since the subject of tinnies is broached, has anyone here any tinnies with enameled parts on them?(enameled: meaning fired glass type enameling, on different parts?) thanks.
If you hunt locally where you live even cash poor, sometimes people will give you things , so don't always assume that if you have little liquidity that you can't score stuff .
This type of pin is notorious for losing the pin that's melted into the plastic, so for it to be complete and in great condition is a plus.

"Tinnies" is just a slang term for tagungsabzeichen. They came in many materials...not just metal. There are plastic, leather, metal, glass, wood, pressed paper and a few others.
