golden HJ membership pin without number and mm

Hi, I know them only as numbered or as "B" marked pieces.
This one came from a perfect source with 2 unquestional pins, I have no doubt. Is this variant known? The pin plate is distinctive...

    Thanks for comments!

I simply don't understand why there would be legit pieces made without RZM mark and maker mark. The only exeption are party pins made in a certain period. I'm afraid I'm very sceptical about this badge.

Wim, I know about your great knowledge about political pins, but this one is 100% good. The source and the other items, which were found with it, are unquestionable.
I was pretty sure, the comments will go this way , but I saw many "not textbook" items coming from private houses for close to no money...

                      Another .

If we were in 1955 or so today, then the story might have some merit. After more than 70 years, there were just too many opportunities for someone to add to the grouping.

I agree with der-hase-fee. I know it is great if you can buy pieces directly from the familiy etc.. but to many times such groupings are "contaminated". I hear even from stories where they build up a complete scenery with an old lady in a house to pass fakes to interested buyers.

Came it from a private german household or from a allied vet?

I really try to keep an open mind. I veen think it is possible that forbiden umarked copies were made during the TR-period just like they made illegal party pins etc... But it is tough thing to proof. The question stays: why should an unmarked HJ Ehrenzeichen ever have been allowed???

                        Regards, Wim

it came from a German flea market antique dealer.
I buy since many years from him, he always gets his items directly from private, these groups were never touched by military interested people.

anyway, I returned the golden one, even a good item is only good if accepted by the community

You did the right thing. A german flea market antique dealer is too many steps away from the source. I do not say that the men in question is not reliable, only that someone can easy put this fake piece in his hands. Almost every German picker today shows up with a combination of good and bad pieces while they claim it comes all directly from the families...

Oh no, this, is 100% fake, made by Rudolf Souval. I have already examined one in detail.

And this: even a good item is only good if accepted by the community is about as lame as it comes really.
Bugger the community, what happened to a bit of old fashioned elbow grease, a bit of independent research.
You want to go around like a sheep lingering on the mood of the community to authenticate your items, go for it, it is, though, not the right way, and the major reason why our hobby is in tatters.
