    Thuring's Loyal Work Medal

I have seen few of those on dealers sites over the years but the details are unknown to me.
Does anyone know what were the award criteria, how rare (or common) those are, or any other facts about those?
    Thanks in advance.

    cheers

    .

Just to follow up with new info:
The medal as posted above was awarded in three grades (bronze, silver and gold) and came cased when handed out to the recipients.
Of note is the fact that apparently this medal was the first officially awarded of any other awards for the District of Thuringen that bore a swastika.
Thanks to the collector who made this info available to me. Much appreciated!

    cheers

    Matt

      Matthew,

      Dandy medal!

This one was acquired a number of years ago, but sports an obvious West Wall mini ribbon.

Glad to know what it is (hope it is good)...

        .

While not the prettiest or desirable award of the period- I remember when Kai Winkler had one for sale on his old website so had to be few years back. It was priced in the neighborhood of 2000 Euros and at least one person thought it was a bargain as the piece sold. I have sent Kai an email asking for any info on the piece he might have had but never received any response to my inquiry.
Hopefully more info will be found in the future.

        cheers

        Matt

My humble contribution. For sure a lot of effort went into making this a nice presentation piece. The case feels very good in hand, it even has a spring in the hinge for clapping the top open.

                Thuringen

                Nice and cased too!
I understand that particular region produced few different (some quite elaborate) Industrial awards, most of them not bearing the swastika and therefore relatively easy to find on Ebay and such.
I always enjoyed the less known and unusual medals/badges and this is definitely one of those.
                Thanks for sharing!

I have never never seen a case like that one, but have seen a few more like mine. Interesting. I missed out on a silver (or was it gold?) a few months ago, might still have the pictures somewhere. These don't come by very often.
