I don't know if it's police or not.
The eagle & wreath made that my first guess.
Any ideas?

The eagle and wreath start off similar to polizei but doesn't close on the top so I wonder if this maybe some other political org related? Have you also tried posting this one in the tinnies forum? I can copy the thread over if you wish. Just let me know. Maybe someone will be able to answer the question this time.

Looking at the size of the periods between the letters, it looks like A.B larger dot P, so it could be police, although the motif reminds me more of a customs eagle and wreath.
Not much help.

The city of frankfurt is the oldest financial center or wall street of Germany as the jewish community settled there in the 10th century time period. In 1933 they started another inquistion against them(not the first) and built or acquired at least one large building turned into a sports center there to house sporting events of all kinds around 35. The jewish people till removed by antisemitism to death and labor camps, had to pay a yearly fee for its upkeep, and in 1933 the krystalnacht (I may have spelling wrong) prejudiced their community, and by 41 the third reich had taken over most of the jewish holdings, and removed them to many different concentration camps almost completely , although this event was held at frankfurt am main was possibly many of such events held at the sports centers there before patton took the city in 1945. By the way many of the most famous jewish people came from there , even anne frank, and the rothchilds, and if you notice at the bottom of this article link it states antisemitism there is still alive and well today..... in hind sight if this city had been given to jewish survivors of the holocaust as part of the reparations of WW2 before we allowed the ex nazi politicians to take back the reins of political control completely, like nothing happened , we may not be facing the problems we have today in the middle east with the british gift of palesting to the jewish people, and forced the Germans to learn to live with the jews in harmony instead of allowing them to back slide to their old ways of prejudice to jewish german citizens .

I believe the badge is a quite scarce pin with the polizei emblem, and possibly may have been worn by police members who served as security there or participated in 41(educated guess, and my own opinion ), for that event.

Most intresting debate

but the way u guys might be looking at is the history arround the polizei regime and some history supports that this might be a Allgemeinen Bereitschaft Polizei Sportstag 1941 Frankfurt am main badge, the terms " bereitschaft " was first used official at 30 april 1926 and did refer to „kasernierte Schutzpolizei“ at that time, so the lowest part of the Polizei regime and in no doubt that some of these guys did break some doors doing the filthy work during the juden vernichtung well in progress all over germany in 1941. The bereitschaft polizei did raise again after 2 ww in germany arround 1951 in bayerien BBP ( Bayerischer Bereitschaft Polizei) mostly used at nature katastrope, demonstrations etc.
imo the badge is genuine and is not seen everyday, so congrat whit a fairly rare badge.
