VW Stickpin...

I'm wondering if this stickpin is original and from what era it'as from. The seller says it was a pin given out to important people that toured the plant in the late 30's, early 40's. Here's the pictures...

I think this is post war, although I'm not 100% sure. The pre-45 VW emblems taht I've seen usually had the DAF-type cogwheel around the outer edge.
