just reading "stormbird" the memoirs of ground attack pilot Hans Buchner ,in it there is a studio photo with him wearing on his lapel what is described as a "enamel infantry assault badge pin " it looks too indistinct in the photo ,did such an enamel pin exist ?

Probably, ask in the Luftwaffe section. One squadron? did use it on the nose of their aircraft (Hs 126?). It wouldn't be an enamelled inf. badge.
It would be an enamelled badge (possibly shield shaped) depicting the Inf. badge.

yep , "stormbird "by hermann buchner ,his squadron used micky mouse on their aircraft nose , but being ground attack it would figure to have the enamelled iaf badge , would love to see one !Originally posted by Wood View PostComment
