    Help with SA tinnie

    Hi:

Can anyone help me with this SA tinnie?
I've had this tinnie for a number of years now and i've always wondered if it's a good one or a repro?
I don't collect tinnies so I have no idea.
It measures 1 and 1/2 inches wide and 2 inches high. It has a cardboard back glued to the tinnie with a pin sticking through the cardboard.
Any help with this tinnie would be much appreciated.

    Regards
    Gary

It looks good to me, not a badge that I have seen faked, the details looks quite crisp. Is the cardboard a later addition, and is the pin intact behind? It may show a maker's details. But don't pull the cardboard away if its holding anything together!

Looks like the cardboard came with the tinnie.
Like I said the cardboard is glued to it so I don't want to take a chance and try to pull it away from the tinnie.

        Hmmm....

Here's one from Weitze. I have it's exact duplicate (of the Weitze example) here somewhere. Yours is different, which in and of itself is not a problem. For instance, yours has no "rolled" border. Probably different makers.

There is no cardboard on the back of mine.

By the way, Weitze wants 60 Euro for his.
