    R.D.KL. Org. Pins Help Please

    Guys,
I`ve seen the larger version of the R.D.KL. pin before, but never the smaller one. So really I have three questions. 1st, what organization is the R.D.KL. exactly, what does the smaller pin signify, and lastly, is the smaller one a rarity? I`ve included a few pics of both pins. Thanks for any info on these two pins.

It could be "Reichsbund Deutscher Kleingärtner" - the Reichs-organization of the garden plot holders.

              Gerdan,
I don`t believe its for gardening. I have a gardening badge and its not the same. I was once told it was for small animal raising, but I also saw it for another organization. Therein lies what I`m unsure of. Believe it or not it was listed as an Egyptian exploration badge. Thanks anyhow

I also found a very obscure hint on beekeeping! But this would not fit with the letters and there is nothing to be seen related with bees.

The badges are for the organisation REICHSVERBAND DEUTSCHER KLEINTIERZÜCHTER, small animal breeders.

The top badge is the Golden honour badge, for 25 years membership which was also given as an honoury gift for special work for the group. Because of the metal is zinc based the gold has been lost but can still be seen on the pin & plate.

The second badge is the standard membership pin.

There was also a silver version of the first badge for 15 years membership.

                  Hope this helps
                  Don
