    Antique store pics.

sorry about the terrible photos but maybe you guys can help me out on this "stuff"
All the pieces on the MP armband are from a vet who brought it back from Germany in 1946...the owner seems OK and admits he knows nothing about WW2 memorabilia but you never know.Ive got a few more pics. if anyone is interested.
    Thanks.

    Hello Eric,

Most of the tinnies look like common ones, 5-10 each.

In the 2nd to last pic, lower left, looks like an SS panzer trapezoid. Can you post a better picture of it? The head looks a bit puny, but maybe it’s the angle
    Regards,

    Fred

Yes, I think you are right on that one The eagle's head should extend beyond the tops of it's wings. Also, I don't believe it was ever done in an officer's version. Here is a thread with a real one.http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ight=trapezoid

Hi Flieger, the German items are mostly common tinnies. I think that all of them look OK from what I can see in this pic, nothing jumps out as fake. The deathshead pictured on the clock face looks like a Pz collar dog. A closer view, front and back, would be needed on this one to check on originality.

In pic 4, the large gilt eagles with the red cross is a Spanish cap badge.

In pic 5, there are several WW2 British badges. The brass wreathed crown is a Sgt. Majors rank badge worn on the cuff; next to it on the right, is a cap badge for the Duke of Cornwalls Light Infantry. Bottom left is the famous Parachute Regt cap badge, be careful on these as they are widely faked! On the right next to it is a fairly scare plastic cap for the Suffolk Regt.

          Cheers, Ade.

A very quick estimate would be $10 per item, add them all up, and if it comes out less than that, well you are OK. It all depends on where your interests lie?

                Cheers, Ade.

Just to give you a guide to the values on the British items: sorry I only know what they fetch in the UK and in £ Sterling

                    Sgt. Majors rank crown £4
                    Duke of Cornwalls Regt £8
                    Parachute Regt £30
Plastic Suffolk Regt £15 if the tab like fixing clips on the back are intact.

                    Cheers, Ade.
