Stick Pin Questions

Hey Guys,

I've looked on this forum and havent been able to find an answer. So here are my questions..

What were the stick pins for? Uniform use?
Have you any pictures showing them in use if they really were worn?
Who was able to have them and how did they get them?

This isnt my area of collecting but I'm really curious to know these things.

Stickpins were worn on civilian clothes. Non-military stickoins can occationally be seen on photos, military stickpins are on the other hand quite scarce. All awardees of the regular sized decorations could purchase the minis in the retail shops, after 1941 these shops had have an approval from the LDO.
