    Hitler Statue

Hi guys, I didn't know where to put this but it does seem a bit political. What do you think, Real? It looks to me like at the very least its been repainted. On the bottom is what appears to be a stamp that said something but I can only make out a few letters. Let me know your opinons please.
    Thanks, Sal

      Hi Sal,

What matherial is it made of? Pottery or that Elastoline stuff? Or?
As for the stamp, the left wing of the Eagle/ that has been in the middle/ at least gives an idea which was up and which was down on the stamp. But that's not quite much... I see that there is much of the ink left, though unreadable. Maybe some special light can help? Black light? Does the ink glow? I think there was a thread not long ago about how to read stamps like this... was it in the helmets forum? Could not find it now...

Hi Theodor, The statue seems to be made of a very hard plastic matierial (bakelite?). I'm not very knowlegable about matierials though. I never thought to look with a black light at the stamp, but will do so and let you know what happens. It might react to the felt pad on the bottom and that would tell us a little. I also thought that the big blob of ink was the eagle wing but in comparison to other stamps it seems way to big to be the wing. I'm not sure though. If you find that other thread please let me know. I'll get back with the black light results.
        Thanks, Sal

          Hi again Theodor,
I looked with a black light and it didnt help with the stamp, but the only thing it seemed to react to on the felt bottom was threads that were stray threads that had gotten on it and I could pick those off. It was also ok with the glue that glued the felt on. That was surprising to me because the felt looks new to me!
          Best Wishes, Sal
