NSDAP party badge for foreign members?

    Hi all,

I found on Wiitze's site following badge. It says that it is a very rare party badge for foreign members. It is the same design as the regular party badge, but without the inscription. Priced at about 1600 EUR.

Did you ever see party badge like this????

Recently I found simillar one and added it to my collection. Could it be the same one??? ( the top badge on the second picture)

    What do you think?
    Any opinions appreciated.

    Thanks Pavel

Rückseitig an senkrechter Tragenadel, ohne RZM-Hersteller. Leicht getragen in sehr gutem Zustand, komplett im Etui.
    Eine der ganz großen Raritäten.

I've always been unconvinced that such a badge existed. Littlejohn & Dodkins (p. 67) shows a supposed example, but there is little information other than that about such a "prestigious" badge. References admit there are no records or regulations about such a badge.

The construction shown in Littlejohn & Dodkins is unusual for the period, and the whole thing looks far too plain for a personal award by Hitler. There is a poorly-inscribed Hitler signature on the back, but no other markings.

My best guess is that these are simply unmarked sympathizer badges from the Kampfzeit or an early fantasy badge.

Weitze's badge is even more plain, with a standard pinback and no markings. It is an early sympathizer badge with no doubt, worth $100 - $125. The case does not belong to it.

      Hi Stephen,

thanks for reply. I originally thought that my badge is just the early symphathy badge, but when I saw the Wietze's site and his description I was confused.......

Does anybody else have any opinion? Or pictures os similar badge???

      Thanks

I concur with Stephen in that the badge is as typical of an early sympathizer badge and nothing more.

As is more becoming the norm, some dealer's write up and professional statements are becoming both meaningless and worthless.

This badge in itself and also in elaborate red cases have been at the shows for several years now. At a MAX show about five years back, five of these cased badges were being offered by different dealers in price ranges from $125. - $3,500.

Also, make note of the more modern type of pin base.

        Regards,

        John
