I have read that most sources say that 50,000 BOs were ordered and 20,000 pieces were delivered and then the order was canceled. With about 4200 BOs awarded was there a lot of unissued pieces like the RK in stock at the end of the war? If so, these pieces would not have been numbered? I have heard stories of unisued pieces having a number added post war. Does anyone have any information or guesses on how many BOs that were never issued?
