    Odd "tinnie"

It says Tordos/Siebenbürgen Nordisch — Indogermanisch UM 2300 V.D.ZTR. on the back. What can you tell me about this "tinnie". Looks like plastic or some resin based material.

    Thanks,
    Ron

    Kreiegswinterhilfswerk des Deutschen volkes

Hello Ron, this is a WHW Tinnie from the Kreigswinterhilfswerk des deutschen volkes and is one of a set. It dates from 1941/1942. Further reference to it can be found in Holger Rosenberg or Reinhard Tieste books.

      Hi Ron,

in front of the tinnie you find the reproduction of an old (2300 years V.D.ZTR. =

Vor der Zeitrechnung = before starting the christian calendar = before Christ)

object with a swastica. The original was found in Tordos, a village in

Siebenbürgen (today Romania). The WHW (Winterhilfswerk) often gave such

reproduction tinnies if you gave a donation for them.

Nice original, but... I´d prefer the one found in Romania.
