I believe these HJ Olympic blades are bad , can anyone show me period advertisments that prove them being issued or period photos of them in wear ?
Or have these Olympic blades been made post 1945 to fool collectors by a few "holier than thou" dealers that some collectors worship without questioning and take there reputation as fact above fiction ! Come on show me real proof ?

        Hello,
There are a number of threads on the GDC forum regarding these knives and I think that most believe they are postwar but anyone interested on more info can check the other forum for more. I hope mentioning another forum is not a problem.

                HJ knife

I have never seen this variant before, it doesn't have the appearance of a period piece. i have collected a lot of 36 Olympic things, but there is certainly more to collect. The HJ knife was allegedly found by Tom Johnson in Germany and certainly has the appearance of being a period piece, but most will discount it as a fantasy.

                  Hello,
As someone already mentioned I think, there is a thread on GDC regarding these knives and as said most believe they are postwar. Interesting discussion if it still is available on GDC. Sorry i see I had posted a reply a while ago.

Really not something I would add to my collection. The last posted knife (with the blue diamond has a typical post-war scabbard.

the grip plates I think as well is postwar.

But we really don't know for which olympic game this was meant for. Berlin 36 is not an option at least.

                        Hi There,

For what I understand, the scabbard is a post war one. Then, the knife, in my opinion, is just a fantasy item and I am convinced there is no proof or support documentation which confirms the existance of this type of "Olympic Thing".

                        Sorry.

                        Regards
