Gausieger 1939 badge

Just like last time when I went to a show and was hoping to find some nice shields, I returned with some HJ items.

This time I went to the Kassel show and although I saw some nice shields, one very nice Narvik shield changing from collector to collector I didn’t find nice shields to buy for myself.
Instead I found myself a very nice Gausieger 1939 badge to complete my Gausieger set.

Very nice Pascal, I really love these badges and in my eyes they are very underated. I seem to run across the zinkers a lot so I have passed because those are not too apealing to me like the enamal ones do.

Chris, I agree with you. I also think that these badges are very much underestimated but I heard from a Russian friend that they are very popular in Russia.
All Seiger badges are made with a email front expect for the 1944 Gausieger badge. This badge is made from zinc and instead of the email it is painted white. This is a heavy faked badge and it is extremely hard to find an original one. There was a thread about this badge not so long ago in which I pointed out some features to look for.
