the 50 th anniversary hunting badge on e-stand ------------ i was informed by a hunting collector in the states that these impressive badges are fantasy pieces , anyone have any views

I would tend to agree with him Terry. However I did see a very nice 800 marked one once which had me doubting myself for a while.

I also have one of these badges and most of the people who have seen it say also that they are fantasy,or at least repros. I had read somewhere I believe were someone said that originals of these badges have the hunting emblem attached with a rivet,while on mine and the one shown no rivet can be seen. Again I am no expert but just telling what I have heard from others. They do seem pretty well made to me in any case though.
