Can't wait for the Kreissiegers to turn up and give this one some company
I was just trying to do that but I guess it is easier with the badge in hand. I lack experience of these but it looks ok to me. As you have already seen, there are quite a few threads showing a number of these.

I only count 18 feathers, there should be 19, maybe I missed one.

Here's the feather configuration of a good one.

            Cheers
            Don

The backside: pin, hinge, catche en makermark looks like a perfect G. Brhemer 1944. Still there is the problem with the 18 feathers left... Xen, a sugest
that you must search all the large pictures of the 1944 on the forum an check the feathering

Xen, your item is an original Gausieger 1944 badge made by G. Brehmer. I have one like this (the same feather configuration) wich came directly from the son of the recipient.
As all of you can see it have a different chest than the tipical one. Maybe a different cast, but there is no doubt if you see the other parts of the item: it******180;s an authentic lacquered zink Brehmer badge.
                  Best regards

I only recently started to study these Gausieger badges so please forgive me when I'm wrong but in my opinion the Gausieger badge as shown by XEN is not an original badge.
