    Tinnie ID Please

Guys, I just got this one off e-stand recently. I have been thru my Manion's books two times and for the life of me I can't find it. Maybe missed it in there somewhere. If I did please tell me the volume number to narrow my search. Maybe someone with a Tieste volume could help me out with some info. Thanks as allways and Merry Christmas. Robert

        Robert,
Nice looking tinnie appears to be in very good condition, it is Tieste's catalog but all that is said about it is it came in both silver and bronzefarbend. That's one downside to Tieste's books while he lists a ton of tinnies there's is no background information about what and why like you can find in Manion's books.

          Robert,

I believe this tinnie is commemorating the anniversary of a particular Nazi event in Potsdam - on 21 March 1933 Hitler as the new Reichskanzler met with von Hindenburg in Potsdam and had a ceremonial handshake symbolizing the coalition of the "old Prussian" German military and the "new" Third Reich. They met in the "Garrison Church," which is probably the church in the background; it's the site of Frederick the Great's grave.

Nice tinnie; 21 March is my birthday, I'll have to pick up one of those!

          Best,
          Greg
