I'm not so sure this is a fake. With great respect for our colleagues who have already responded, there must be more collectors here who have focused on enamel street/building signs -- I'm interested to see more responses.

Agree it's bad...Wear isn't what one would expect from porcelain that has sustained random damage.....The damage to this street sign seems contrive to me and not something one would associate with let's say something like old porcelain license plates....JMHO, Bodes
