    aquarell A.Hitler

Gentelmen, please forgive me, I just didnĀ“t know, where to post this picture, so I posted it here

This painting comes with a certificate of Hans Horvath, vienna, who made several expertises of Hitler paintings.

Does this one has a chance?

    Thank you

It is certainly of the subject matter that Hitler felt at home in rendering.

While I realize that the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna found Hitler's artistic talent to be of little account, we also know that he did, in fact, possess sufficient aptitude in water-coloring to support himself professionally for about five years -- not a lavish lifestyle, to be sure, but he didn't starve to death, either. And he apparently sold perhaps hundreds of paintings during those pre-WWI years. This may well be one of those paintings he produced, and we can regret the fact that an innocent denial of an art education developed perhaps the most noted name in modern history -- though not noted for the artistic career that he had hoped for!

It doesn't look to me like an AH painting-the brush strokes, impasto, and overall color palatte appear not like his style.

Also, it looks more like an oil painting than an Aquarell, which would be less the norm.

          Hmm

Looks like a Oil painting yes. Painted by a
good amateur. If it not had a AH signature
          - value maybe 10-20 euro.

I am not a Hitler painting expert- but some of
his watercolors are very nice and very well painted.
Much more professionel than this one.

Its easy to fake a signature on commen to find old
unsigned paintings, so you should be very careful.

            I agree.

It appears to be an old amateurish painting which someone has bought and added the AH signature to.

An art expert would easily confirm whether or not a signature has been added at a later date.

Yep, it's a fake signature. Actual art experts won't touch Hitler art. Therefore there is a profusion of fakes on the market.

BTW, I looked up the alleged "Hitler art expert" Hans Horvath. He certainly has a colorful past.
