TREFFEN BRAUNSCHWEIG BADGE original or fake?

Here I present a badge that I just bought and I would like your opinion on whether it is original or not. it is an SA Treffen-Braunschweig in aluminum and with the rzm and M1 / 63 marking, which corresponds to Steinhauer & Luck.
Here I leave you with the 4 photos that the seller has put to the announcement of this piece.
Thank you all for your opinions

The stamping of this piece does appear to be original to the period, though I can understand your concern if you're looking at the unfinished edges visible all around the reverse. And given that Steinhauer & Lück was a major manufacturer of TR badges, and that the RZM inspectors should have noticed these ragged edges, there seems to have been cause for rejecting this piece before issue by the factory...

I guess this is an example that human error is always possible! Cheers,

It is a nice original. Althought interestingly this marker does not have the GES GESCH registered design marking, whereas other solid backed manufacturers such as M1/35 and M1/17 makers did so.

An interesting catch, Mil -- one that missed my attention! I too wonder why "Ges. Gesch." was omitted on this badge by Steinhauer & Lück?

No idea. One of the mysteries I guess that we may never know?

The RZM system largely made the "GES. GESCH." copyright notice obsolete for NSDAP insignia and badges. GESETZLICH GESCHUTZT means legally protected, and the RZM system was essentially a licensing and manufacturing system that included legal protection of designs and manufacture. Some early badges were the design not of the NSDAP but of individual artists/manufacturers who held the original copyright and licensed it out to other manufacturers or even the Party. GES. GESCH. appearing with the RZM is a holdover from the earlier registered copyright system and not strictly necessary, unless the ownership of the badge design still remained with the original designer/manufacturer and was still being produced under license.

                    St. & L.

The early, traditional skull on my early SS visor cap is by St. & L.
They were one of the very few companies who RZM-marked their early SS skulls.
Interestingly I also have an old DKW enamel auto badge, probably from the 50's with the ST. & L. logo.
They're still alive and well, and still making German military awards today.
