I've seen a few before, I think they were used for candles if I'm not mistaken

Hello,
Yes I have a few of them. I don't really know what they are. Most of the time they are said to be votive(?) candle type holders, I have seen them describes as drinking cups etc or just little decorations to be put around. I think they would burn pretty easily so I don't see them being candle holders. I would love to hear what others say about them. I wonder if they are even really of the period because I just don't see a use for them, particularly when they are many times described as little votive type candle holders as I mentioned above.
