I'd need your opinions about this badge. It's lil bit strange to me, looks like an "austrian fake". What you think?

Original Fuess, congratulations ! Pin plate has been replaced, which is quite common.

Still, I spy a couple strange things:

Obverse, leaf just left of the X at the bottom appears to have "structure";
Reverse, the straight stamped line between the numbers.

The two could be connected, maybe a mishap during number punching ?

An original by all nuances....but what would account for the strange lower left (7 o'clock position) leaf with the railroad tie
imprint on top? With that said, still a desirable and original badge...Congrats.

That is a mark, left ob and reverse, by a pair of pliers, when the person who replaced the pin plate, "peeled" the old plate off.
