In your initial post you state in just came out of a house in Brussels a week ago. Then you say you've had it for 35 years. Did I miss something because that doesn't make sense.

You are absolutely correct ! I'm working on more than 30 treads at this time, so sometime there is a "glitch" .

This very small "Flemish" band was found together with a Fj gravity knife ( posted on the e-stand) A trunk with a complete Belgian officer uniform ( foreign section on the forum) and indirectly a complete BD / Belgian 1944 group ( posted on the British uniform section on the forum). All this in a house emptied after a succession and split up of the belongings by the family.

The armband I meant I own for decades and have problems with is the one posted at

These things sometimes have to be seen in hand for certain. I don't see any obvious red flags on the example posted from the photos.

Yes, Indeed I'm all over the forum and this until another two weeks, then by-by, I fly back to my deserted islands for another year or so and let the collection and the collectors, get one or two years older ... :-)

I can't believe this armband could be fake. From where it comes from, nearly impossible. My question was, what was it? One can still find mint pristine collaboration cloth and insignias in Belgian houses. Sitting in a attic drawer since 45.

Whaw "Blackwatch" Canada Nova Scotia ! Not close by :-) You coloured this picture yourself ? Nice job ! Do you have any provenance of the picture ? Really a Flemish guy ?

On another subject, My uncle ( Harold foster baker - Verstraete) was a Major in the Black Watch before the war; later he was L. Col of the "Governors generals footguard", landed in Normandy on D day, wounded at Caen and until 47 Military governor of the province of Tilburg in holland :-) I own lots of his stuff and souvenirs :-)

Yes, my grandfather was a captain in the Black Watch during WW2. Here is the link to where I have this photo posted in the original with the other photos it is a set with. These photos prove that the sig rune armband was indeed worn by the DJ in Germany in 1933.
