Eva Braun fork - is it real?

I would sincerely appreciate any opinions as to the authenticity of this Eva Braun silver fork. The fork measures about 7 1/8" long. Thanks.

      Hi John,

The body of this piece -- the "fork blank" on which the monogram was engraved -- does not match the few examples of Eva Braun cutlery as seen in the works by Dr. Griffith and Jim Yannes. Of course, there was no such thing as an "official flatware pattern" to compare against, since the pieces associated with Braun were all custom-made for her, and usually created as gifts. The real question is where did this piece come from? Is there any solid provenance with it?

Hope this comment is helpful. Cheers,

      Br. James
