Hi Platch,

Welcome among us. This is an interesting piece! Given the zinc that original examples of this wartime badge was made from, one never sees this badge in the pristine condition as shown on the piece you link to. The finish on examples of the SA Military Defense Badge for War Wounded seen today is normally almost completely dissolved away, due to the decades and the underlying metal. Therefore, for that reason alone, I would shy away from this piece for my collection. Hope this comment is helpful to you.
