Hi All,

Nothing titillating I'm afraid...

I have bought a number of good silverware items from a contact in Berchtesgaden.

He acquired them as part of a group / haul. They came from the widow of a German caretaker in the region, who "borrowed" a few pieces during his work.

They include rare Obsersalzberg items, Rasthaus Chiemsee, RAR (Reichsautobahn by Christofle) and Berchtesgadener Hof hotel items.

In the haul are some items marked "BRA" with maker stamp of "BMF90". Does anybody know what the BRA stands for?

Ohhh Bother Actually, and interesting question even without the bra.

Thanks to member CPB who suggested that it stands for Berchtesgaden Recreation Area.

This would fit in with the other pieces but make it US/post war.
