    Attributed GPB for Review

    Here is large golden party badge for review that was awarded to Georg Joel.

    He was born on August 8,1898 in Wilhelmshaven, and died October 10,1981 in Rastede. Joel was a German politician( NSDAP, later DRP ). During the period of National Socialism, he was first President of the Parliament of Oldenburg until 1945 and later Prime Minister of the country, also from 1936 to 1945 a member of the German Reichstag. After the Second World War, he moved into the state parliament of Lower Saxony. Joel was born as the son of a locksmith. After attending high school he hit a career with the Grand Duke of Oldenburg-railway; finally, he was chief secretary in the mid-rail non-technical services. In 1917-18 he took as a soldier in the First World War (awarded EKII, black wound badge) in part, where it was used on the Western Front in the Field Artillery Regiment, 62nd. After the war he worked as an inspector at the Deutsche Reichsbahn. Joel in the early 1920s considered several political groups and decided on 1 August 1926 to join Nazi Party. Joel was a member of the council since 1930, Oldenburg, and in 1931 in Oldenburg parliament elected, where he served until 1933. 1932/33 he served as president of the Diet. After the appointment of Carl Rover to Reich Governor, Joel served on 6 May 1933 to April 1945 as Prime Minister of the Free State of Oldenburg. At the same time he took charge of the ministries of foreign affairs, home affairs, trade and transport. Between 1932 and 1945 he was deputy Gauleiter of Parteigaues Weser-Ems. He also served from 1936 to 1945 Member of the German Reichstag. From 1937 until 30 January 1939 and from November 1943 to 1945 he served as Gaupersonalamtsleiter. He was also a brigade leader of the SA. During WWII he was awarded NSDAP Golden Party badge; First Class Air Protection Honor Award; War Merit Cross with Swords, First and Second Class. After the Second World War he joined the German Reich Party (DRP), whose national board he belonged. In the third term, he was responsible for the DRP of 6 May 1955 to 5th May 1959 Member of the Lower Saxony state parliament.
