      Hi
Platters look ok , see no RK on the rest ? Not RK style tea pot , creamer, sugar bowl.
      Me think.

I agree on the platters, mine I received in the 1960's from a US Vet who brought it back, and it matches perfectly. Tom

              Thorsten,
This is the only other photo on the listing, looks ok to me.

              Best,
              Michael

Of course the platters are fine originals, no doubt.

I mean the coffee and tea pot, the creamer and the sugar bowl.

No pics of their markings at hand?!

No photos regarding markings on the other items unfortunately.

Have we seen anything like that before?

                    No - that´s exactly why I ask.

Now could you please get the pics?

                    Thank you.

The teapot etc look 'of the era' but without AH/RK stamps [which they don't have] they are near-worthless in collector terms.

Still, the trays would be a great buy if you can get them at the right price. I always thought the Wellner trays were hugely undervalued compared to their cutlery counterparts - of which there seems to be a near endless supply.

The warming trays are all marked by serial number being either the RK or AH versions, while some of other trays are not. always wondered the reasoning behind it?

The warming trays are probably serial numbered because they're copper bottomed and therefore more valuable. i.e. people could steal them and melt them down.

Whereas the regular drinks trays etc are just stainless steel, and not so prized.

                          All just supposition of course.

The whole serial number thing is fascinating [in a geeky collector way]. I always hope a catalogue/file will turn up one day listing all the serial numbers and the trays' locations [FB, Berghof, RK, etc etc].

the teapot and the other stuff is made of silvered porcelain..Hutschenreuther for example made lots of this silver covered porcelain.

I've wondered that also. I've asked around, but never received a definite answer. Tom
