    shoulder board?

    hi,

    can anyone help me identify which organisation this board comes from.

    SA for 'enlisted' group staff members. Removable for use with brownshirt and other washable tunics.

      Also....This is the 2nd pattern SA shoulderboard, worn from 1938-1945. It was worn only on the right shoulder of the brownshirt, and on both shoulders on the tunic. Unlike 1st pattern SA boards where the underlay color designated their SA Gruppe, the 2nd pattern underlay color designates their "specialty".
      Red=Staff, Black=Pioneer, Navy Blue=Marine-SA, Bright Blue=Medical, Lemon Yellow=Signal, Lt. Grey=Foot SA, Orange=Cavalry, & Green=Jaeger, Mountain, and Rifle SA. Therefore, the 2nd pattern shoulderboard underlay color usually doesn't match the collar tabs and kepi top color on later SA uniforms.
