HJ tunic AHS Chiemsee

We got this Adolf-Hitler-Schule Chiemsee tunic yesterday. Any opinion of the HJ specialists are very welcome!

Good eyes by Lauri. Just look at the condition of that triangle compared to the rest of the ensemble. An obviously added item to the rock.

The tunic is also missing the AHS shoulder straps.

I knew I recognized that triangle. It was on Mil 321 last year and sat for some time due to the damage. Here is a thread at the H.J. Forum where the item was discussed. Someone has tried to pull a fast one with that set up.

True, there are a lot of messed with, "restored" or just humped up H.J. uniforms out there. Most of them are easy to spot as people just throw any set of straps and triangle on a uniform without the understanding that the insignia has to match regionally. When the insignia is correct it's more difficult to tell if a uniform has been messed with.

Darin/Lauri, did we even got to the ground of that why only the Chiemsee have this kind of damage? I know there had been a thread on hj-research.com not too long ago because many collectors noticed that.

Some have partly serious burn marks, some look like moth damage. However, it seems to be only the Chiemsee triangles ....

Maybe same story as the 664 boards.. Most are found together and unused, could been a fire or just moth damage what happened in the same area.

Hi Daniel,
I think you mean the "Tilsit" AHS triangles when speaking of the damage. They all seem to have that burnt/moldy look to them with the exception of Weitze's offering which is very highly priced and been on his site for a long time.

this is really sad to see, whoever put it to the tunic has also stained the triangle and damaged the corners to make it ''look'' better! or so they thought, i hope it goes back down the chain and to the ass who done this!
