Gary, I recommend posting it in the Political Awards forum -- John Fish and Bob Hirtz are the go-to-guys for BOs.

        Hello Gary,

this is a good one - a nice and fine catch.

It belonged to Hermann Koetzold from the Sturmabteilung Rossbach.

        Congratulations!

        Best Regards

Max, what's interesting is that Rossbach himself didn't receive a BO.

Soft details, a pretty worn medal, but original and well worth owning. congrats to the new owner.

SS full Röhm inscription dagger with serial #76637 on the cross guard has survived as well. What a phenomenal reunion that would make.

come on then dont be shy, show and tell...

Oh I see, Weitze sold it 4 or 5 years ago. You just gotta track the owner and pay the 10,000€ it will be worth now and its a done deal !

Hermann Koetzold was my father. He died in action in 1944 and was buried in Serajewo. I am not interested in the medal or any monetary value it has but would like to know where this medal was these last 70 years and how it got into circulation. I live in Canada
