Thanks, everyone. I was trying to keep the succession intact by using the last eagle that was on there. But sometimes if you think too much, instead of going with your instinct, you can outsmart yourself . Incidentally, the wool top is a very distinct and vivid orange, not at all yellow like some of the pics. NOTE: If you look closely at the eagle's right wing, it was almost completely broken off, and was literally hanging by a thread. I reattached it by soldering it on from the back. I've had this 1st pattern eagle for many years, and now it's proudly flying again !! I think I got it from BOB RICE in Santa Monica. The old-timers will remember that place.
