    Stahlhelm Advice

    Gentlemen

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this question but I'm sure you will put me right if it isn't.

I'm pretty sure that the tab is OK but I don't know anything about it. Black with dark green piping.

The Stahlhelm badge has a silver coloured wash with the letters picked out in black. On the underside it is stamped W.D.GES.GESCH Any chance that it could be legit?

Any information and comment most welcome

    Many thanks

    James

For the tab is there anything more one can say about it?

      Many thanks

        Hi James,

I had thought that I had responded to your question a couple of days ago but I guess I hadn't. I agree with jabnus that the Stahlhelm supporter's pin is fine, though I have very little experience with their collar tabs so I can't add anything there. Glad he was able to confirm.

          Hi again, James,

If it is of any assistance to you, I checked my copy of "Die Uniformen und Abzeichen..." published in 1933 and your tab appears to be that of a Stahlhelm Feldmeister, which seems to equate with an SA-Rottenführer of that time period. The book does not identify what the green piping may mean.

The tab is perfectly fine, i have a few made like this one myself.

We have a little stahlhelmbund section over here on our forum if you want to compare it to other tabs or oakleaves on it:
