here is another find from the antique store. The carmine color is more on the pink or rose side than maroon carmine.

Here's side by side comparison of one that's good IMO with one similar to the patch you show. I don't know if there are different versions of this patch or not but I like the one on the left side of this photo a lot more than the one on the right. The differences are subtle but they are there.
