hughe wall eagle with RZM mark?????

    Hi,

what do you think about that alum bird:

The frontside looks very nice and detailed, but I dont like the backside and the 2 RZM and MM stamps on upper side of BOTH wings (M3/82 RENO RZM)
Are M3 makers decoded? Is M3/82 legit?

    Any comments, please!

"M3" is the correct code for the item (Metal Symbols). The proportions of the eagle seem a bit off, but the detail and the quality of the RZM stamping leads me to believe the item is very likely authentic.

I will post better pics tomorrow.

The style seems to be from Reichsparteitag 1938, viewing to the other direction:

I like the detail of the eagle and the art deco style.

The design looks just like the Reichtag eagle !
                Cheers, Hakan

Yes it's clearly the same style as the Reichstag eagle. Weitze had one for sale a few weeks ago, better looking than this one.

Here's a good shot of the Reichstag eagle,

Is yours as big as the one in the photo? Kidding aside, how large is it?
It seems the Nazis were fond of making miniatures of things. Tiny SS daggers, etc. If you remember the color footage of their rally where they were dressed as knights, etc., there was a float with a sunburst design, with a rounded swastika center, and 4 fluer-de-lis'. There's also 2 griffins at the base. (The ONLY Nazi design I've ever seen with a "fluer-de-lis"). For many years, I have had a hand-painted metal replica of that exact float, unfortunately missing the base, which was probably a small wagon. NICE EAGLE - and probably quite rare.

Why is the head on this one pictured in the thread turned the opposite way of the one pictured from the era?

Why is the wreath ribbon different?

here are better pics. The frontside is really nice and from good quality, the backside is different from other eagles, I owned. Maybe another maker???

The wingspan is exactly 64 cm.
