His coat I believe also has the diplomatic insignia on the sleeve.Of note button configurations differ greatly on waistcoats such as these.I have a Luftwaffe one and depending on the size I believe the placemnt is differenet,some are at an angle some straight down etc,as for the button type Im not sure.Not sure if yours is the standard Diplomatic type waistcoat either buttons are odd an insignia is not eveident,but being prewar insignia may not be prevelant yet,Im not an expert on early Diplomatic uniforms either.Maybe someone else can chime in..Love that Clock!!!
