Looks right. Though why is it M9? That is the RZM code for "day events" i.e. tinnies. The RZM trademark is correct. Very interesting.

Correct, there is some controversy about this mark and these pins in general, and seems that there will always be.
Though I can't explain the apparent discrepancy, I am personally convinced by quality of construction & enamel work that this is a period piece, I have passed on more than one of these because I wasn't satisfied with quality.

I could not agree more. The quality of construction and the enamel work are the key factors to look for in any enameled piece. If those are consistent with period originals, no matter what the nay sayers tell us, the item could very well be right, even if others say it is a reproduction. After you have handled this stuff long enough, you get a feel. Right?

However fake enamel badges exist with top quality enamel work, this badge is a 100% accepted original. Both enamel AND the planchet have to be checked out on there period characteristics. Still miss this one in my collection

Very attractive design Theo, which of course is what makes it attractive to fakers.
I can tell you it looks great in my modest collection, I will no doubt add another at some point in time.
