    S.A. Wehrabzeichen

    Hello everyone,

Forman to the rescue, again. Because of his guide I know that the big bold badge below is a sports badge. However, the Forman guide only shows the back of a badge that is inscribed way different compared to the badge below.

The badge below is marked "M1 / 100", On the right of that inscription, there is a little round logo, or mark. You definitely need a looking glass to see what it is. It consists of two concentric circles. In these circles, there are three letters: an R and a Z are next to each other, the Z has a line through it, or a dash, if you will. Underneath these two letters, there is an M. I tried to take pictures if these inscriptions, but I'm afraid I did not quite succeed in doing so.

Anyway, below are the images of the badge. Can anyone give any information regarding this badge?

Thank you very much in advance!

    Very best regards,
    Karin-Renate

              1943 and RZM?

Aparently I wasn't done yet with this item. Some related paperwork came to light! Unfortunately, the first part is still missing, but the second part of "Sport Im Gelände" was underneath a piece of cloth on the bottom of the box I found the Sportabzeichen in. There was also an Urkundenheft! Allthough this document is worn, torn and missing a piece, it can be still be read.

This Heft mentions the winning of the bronze Sportbzeichen. As RZMs were in effect in 1943, the RZM mark at the back of the Sportabzeichen might be correct for the Abzeichen that was won in this document. Or am I mistaking? Some images below:

Front of booklet "Sport Im Gelände - Teil II":
