What do you mean? No one knows who made the badge. There are 2 patterns of the Coburg badge with several variations of the 2nd pattern.

On closer inspection, there are also slight variations of the first pattern, although it may be inconclusive just based on the ones I have handled so far. Some first patterns have a scalloped back with a trench, while others do not. Both variants exhibit omni-present die flaws.

Did I write that? Happily my eyes are working well. I wrote that all of the 1st types show the same characteristics. I don't own a 2nd style so haven't compared those.

Correct they were in my collection, sold on E-Stand 3 month back.

So these badges 1st type are not made by the same maker but show the same similarities.So they can be confirmed as genuine ? Because taking a look at three badges owned by Erich S,Erich B,Bob Hritz they're completely different and for such a small amount awarded I personally would have thought you would find some that match.So personally I would not want to own one even less so the second pattern's but if you like them that's all that matters.

I am not sure what is occurring but in the last several weeks there have been a lot of comments by individuals who admit to not owning/handling Coburg badges (or knowing anything about them) but making negative assessments on the badges based on the RZM stamp and other factors.
