SA Research - Where to Start?

Can anyone tell me if its possible to research members of the SA?

Whats the best way to start doing this?

Also is there anyone who offers this service?

I have an engraved SA dagger, with name and SA group, and i would like to try and research the name mentioned.

Any help on where to start etc would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hello Lewis,
My suggestion would be to contact one of the researchers here in the states with access to the SA files at the US National Archives. I just had a number of names researched by Mike Constandy of Westmoreland Research, and received a large amount of documentation. He was also able to find a file on an SA officer that had eluded several other researchers, so I recommend his services highly!

Also what rates does he normally charge? (you can PM that if you prefer).

      sounds like a great start!

      Thanks

          Great!
Mike is member MJC here, and if it's in the archives, I'm sure he can find it! I wish you luck. I'd be curious to see a scan of the blade/dagger--you can PM me if that's possible.
