    Organisation Todt uniform

    Hi all,

    Being interested in Organisation Todt and also being a total newbie on this forum I have a few questions.

    Surfing the forums I come across pictures from Organisation Todt uniforms.
    Most of the time I see the color brown.
    Also I see the color grey, appears to be a little darker grey than wehrmacht.
    Also there are some pictures where the color olive is mentioned.
    Olive as in green?

    Is brown the standard color for OT and if so, when was grey and olive used?

    Another question is: where the uniforms from OT-Schutkommando different?
    I saw pictures from OT-SK wearing black uniforms.

    Thanks in advance for your help.

    Brown was the standard collar for Org.Todt. The Org Todt Schutz Kommando had black (waffen ss style) shoulder boards with white piping on brown uniforms. The olive color was also used sometimes on protective clothing like thick winter pants and rain coats...
    Here are some OrgTodt uniform examples from my collection;

    Lets start with an Org Todt officer/doctor tunic (in brown);

          OT uniform

          OT uniform (cap is DAF, gear is Italian and armband is SA reserve...)
          Its a hodgepodge but it illustrates the OT uniform brown color!

                Just a story (I made up) to go with the mannequin, which represents a Georgian Legion trooper in Normandy.
                (pink waffenfarbe)
                Each soldier I "created" has such a "Museum tag".

                    I think tunics from Organisation Todt must be very rare. I don't know a dealer who has one for sale.
                    I bought a offcier tunic from Org. Todt without collars a few moths ago from private.
                    What is a tunic without insignias worth?

                    Who has a pair of collars for sale?

                    Best,

                          olive

                          Here's the same uniform under different lighting conditions...now it appears more olive in color...
                          but these are truly brown uniforms, more brown than lets say RAD uniforms.

                          Here's a great thread on another style!

                            Here's a nice Org Todt M43 cap trapezoid, in brown of course. These also came embroidered, as the M43 cap in post 4 shows

                              These are impossible to find (unlike Heer traps)
