I was just offered this badge.
I never owned this badge before.
To those that have, what do you think?
    Does it look original?
Any tell-tale things to look for on this one?

The first image makes it look a bit flat, but I think that's just the scan. The badge looks fine to me based on these photos.

As for tell-tale signs, is that pin shape really accepted? And what about the swastika with rims?

        cheers

That's a very high recipient number. My understanding is that far fewer than this were awarded. Even for a production over-run it still seems unrealistically high. The Tyr-rune is also smaller than I normally see. It doesn't seem to extend past the bottom of the wreath as normal. The 'barbs' at the top of the rune are the same. I don't know - it just looks 'odd' to me.

I think the pin shape is fine, and I believe the appearance of a 'rim' around the swastika is the highlighted edge caused by the scanner, but the number, as 'Schmusi' mentioned, is very high. The estimates vary re the number of these awarded--Angolia suggested 11,000; Detlev mentions 'approximately 15,000'. Also, upon second look, the style of the number engraving is slightly different that that of documented originals. I'm not sure if the Tyr rune bottom is really short or if it's a scanner distortion, but, not having an original to compare to, I'll leave this to those that do. Some better images would be helpful.

Camera photos would make this much easier.
I agree, the number is high--which would turn me away immediately.
              It also looks polished.
              Looks good from the back---
I would not touch this one.

I find this badge questionable. I would need to see the crosslines in the numbers and I feel a side by side comparison with a low number original might be more advantageous in that I see too much black background in the front of this badge as with an original low number IMO.

Not for my collection! That's no fire gilting in my opinion. The position of the arrow (with inner disc and Swas.) to the outer laurel leaves differs from the originals.
