From a HJ Flakhelfer unique stuff!

    Hello,

I want to share with you a intresting story about a old man :

My mother has an own store where customers came from the Netherlands and from Germany.
One day she met some old man and he ask about her family.
She told that I was collecting German stuff from the WW2.
The man called Walter sad that he might have something in his cellar from the war. And told to my mother that the next time he came he bring it with him.
And he did it. When I turned from school I saw on the table a belt and buckle from the HJ!
I was so happy that I wanted to thank him but he was allready away.. The next time when he was here he brought with him a DJ belt and buckle!
This time he was still here and gave me a uhrkunde ( I dont know how you call it in english ) and I was very happy and thank him.
But he had to go home and call after a few weeks that he found something in his sellar again!
But he wanted to come to here but he could'nt.
He went ill and get a tumor he sad to his wife in the hospital that if he arrived back to his home ( He was in turkey on holliday ) the guys from the Netherlands get all my stuff i've left.

But he was still ill for a period after 0,5 years he wanted to smoke a cigarett in the morning about 6 o'clock and normaly his wife wake him at 7 to get his breakfast. And she was going to the stairs to shout that the dinner was readdy.
But she did'nt hear anything and called again.
When she nothing heard yet she went to look.

And she found him dead on the ground with his hands under his head.

After a while when the lady had less sorrow.. ( +- 1,5 years ) We called her for a meeting at her hause.
And we did ( 2 weeks ago).
After a good and long conversation she told me that she had a picture of her man in the war with uniform and a meeting from the LW flakhelfers in '94.
I received it and the conversation continued.

But she told that she also had a cannister( Essgeschirr) from him!
And walk to the cellar and came back with the canister and a fieldbottle and a flashlight and a horseshoe that Walter ever luck brought
All at once I got a large smile
She also told me that she had 2 belts and buckles but she would clean them first.
I stopped her and sad that they must not become cleaned.
And she walk in the cellar for the 2nd time that day.
She came back with a HJ belt and buckle and a LW belt and buckle and my face looked like this

She told also that she has the fork ,spoon, knife that from Walter was.
And a book unfortunaly I dont remember what book it was.

Here are some pictures and beneeth the pictures are some questions.

    Thanks for reading!

    Cheers,

    Kurt

    Some questions :

1:Could the flashlight be ww2 civilian?

2:From what period is the horseshoe?

3:How can I remove that ''rust'' in the canister? It takes a way throught the canister himselve!

4: What does I./KG.152 means on the LW buckle?

The flashlight is civilian, but postwar (1960 or 1970s). That type is still used by workers (buildings constructors, road-workers, etc).

"KG" stands for "Kampfgeschwader" - LW fighter (plane-) units.
